With so many weight loss diets that work, one will simply find it hard to select which is which. All of them claim to be effective, have no side effects, and deliver results. Well, if you are on the lookout for weight loss diets that work, why not try one of the following:

Low Carb Diets

weight loss diets that workOne of the most often suggested weight loss diets that work consists of foods that are low in carbohydrates.

Proponents of this diet believe that carbohydrates translate to sugar during digestion. Thus, a rise in the blood sugar level means an increased insulin level too. This prevents the body from breaking down stored fats and instead allowing sugar to be used for energy.

As one of the weight loss diets that work effectively, a low carb diet excludes grains, beans, pastas and starchy vegetables. Instead, a typical meal includes meat, poultry, eggs and fish. The Atkins is a perfect example of a low-carb diet.

High Protein Diets

Although the American Heart Association does not subscribe to the idea of a high protein diet as among the most effective weight loss diets that work, it is often recommended by most nutritionists and bodybuilders.

Foods that are high in protein have low caloric content. They also contain very low fats and carbs which are responsible in making you gain extra pounds.

As such, eating meats, beans, eggs, fish and poultry will give you the much needed energy without making you full and bloated all the time. Eating foods that are rich in protein allows you to grow more muscles too!

Vegetarian Diet
As the name suggests, a vegetarian diet consist mainly of fruits and vegetables. They are either eaten raw or cooked. Many people are leaning towards this kind of diet because of the different health benefits it offers.

We all know that eating vegetables provides us with a lot of nutrients, vitamins and minerals. In fact, beans and other legumes are plants that have high protein content. More importantly, they contain less salt, fats and calories which are all factors to consider in weight loss.

Fad Diets

Fad diets have taken us by storm. Just as the name implies, it is simply a fad that will eventually lose its luster when a new one comes along.

The three-day diet, lemonade diet and grapefruit diet are among the examples. Often regarded as unhealthy, people who have tried these claim to have successfully lost at least ten pounds in less than two weeks’ time.

Effective weight loss diets that work will not allow you to starve yourself to death. Instead, eating a balanced diet must be practiced together with a regular exercise.

    Hi
I have reduced my body fat to 12% using portion/calorie controlled meal plans. The basic protocols are:
1/Eat your large, complex carb meals in the morning, up to and including lunch. There after, taper the calories down and eat only protein and fibrous carbs,ie. green vegetables.
‘Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a pauper’
This will also automatically ensure a low carb diet
    2/ Eat 5 or 6 meals a day at 3 hour intervals
2/ Use coconut oil as an alternative energy souce. It also stimulates the thyroid gland which boosts your metabolism and increase fat burn.
Diet, or nutrition as I prefer to call it, is not the only key, regular exercise is also very important!!
