Meal Replacements Helpful For Weight Loss, Study Finds

meal replacementsA recent UK study suggests that medically supervised meal replacements can be your best friend in your pursuit to lose weight.

The study appears in the issue of Journal of the American Dietetic Association.

Health Management Resource Corporation, a national health care company specialized in weight loss and weight management produces meal replacements for successful weight loss.

The study analyzed side effects, weight outcomes and also behavioral data of obese patients enrolled in intensive behavioral weight loss program.

Two treatment options were offered, Medically Supervised and Healthy Solutions. Medically Supervised patients restricted food consumption to meal replacements, which consisted of shakes and entrees, and bars. Patients either consumed five shakes daily or three shakes and two shelf-stable entrees.
